AHMEDABAD: Head of Sai infosystem and an accused in a multi-crore fraud, Sunil Kakkad, created ruckus onboard Qatar Airways flight on Saturday. The incident occurred when the flight in which city police officials and Kakkad were flying took a halt at Casablanca airport of Morocco.
Kakkad was caught last week on an airport in Liberia due to a red corner notice issued against him by Interpol.

In addition to two cheating cases with city police, several banks who had extended him loans for business expansion, have named him as defaulter.
The team of three police officials of Ahmedabad, led by DSP B C Solanki, was dispatched to fetch him. The cops had to face tough time in Liberia since Kakkad had deployed a team of advocates to fight the case against deportation to India.
"As the court has agreed to deportation, he is being brought to India in a Qatar Airways flight," said deputy commissioner of police, crime branch, Himanshu Shukla. "As the plane, en route to India, stopped at Casablanca airport Kakkad started screaming and shouting. At first the police officials escorting him tried to calm him down. However, Kakkad continued to raise hue and cry which attracted the airport authorities. The airport authorities then forced Kakkad, as well as, the police officials to get down from the plane."
The team, which went to bring Kakkad back to India contacted senior police officials of the city who in turn spoke to the authorities at the airport. "It was only after that the authorities allowed the team and Kakkad back into the plane," said a police official.
Police sources said Kakkad could land at Ahmedabad airport late on Monday or early morning on Tuesday. "A special investigation team (SIT) can be constituted to investigate complaints registered against Kakkad or the investigation it can also be handed over to the crime branch," said a senior police official.
