Reuben David's website inaugurated

The man who gifted the city one of Asia's best zoos, Padmashri Reuben David's website was inaugurated at Kamla Nehru zoo premises on Wednesday. David founded the Hill Garden zoo and the Balvatika in the late 1950s. The website which was launched on Wednesday has rare images and videos of David in the zoo premises and shows his deep connect with the animals. The website, www.reubendavidszoo.com was conceptualised by his daughter Sahitya Akademi winner, Esther David.

Court denies bail to six - Customs official Surendrasingh Pabana, Mohammad Waqar, Mohammad Azhar, Bushra Rahman, Roshni Khan and Rabia Khatoon - in connection with smuggling foreign currency worth Rs 2.2 crore. The court refused bail to the official with the observation that if he is released, it will have a demoralizing effect on sincere officials.
