Reshuffle in top brass of state bureaucracy

Gandhinagar: With the elevation of Raj Kumar as chief secretary, the government effected a reshuffle in the top state bureaucracy on Tuesday.Vipul Mittra, additional chief secretary, panchayats, rural housing and rural development, has been transferred and appointed as chairman of GNFC, Bharuch, under the energy and petrochemicals department. A K Rakesh, ACS, general administration department (GAD), has been given the additional charge of ACS home. The post was held by Raj Kumar, who took over as CS. ACS revenue, Kamal Dayani will hold the additional charge of ACS industries and mines department.Commissioner of rural development and principal secretary, rural development, Sonal Mishra will hold the additional charge of principal secretary, panchayats, rural development and rural housing, a government notification said.Meanwhile, the Union government also issued a notification on Tuesday, appointing Sonal Mishra as joint secretary, ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship. According to sources in the state government, Mishra will continue to function on her post until she is relieved for her central deputation. tnn
