Rain gets scanty in state, city’s max temperature rises

Ahmedabad: Till 4 pm on Monday, only one taluka in state - Nizar in Tapi district - received rain, indicating receding monsoon in Gujarat. Nizar recorded 2mm rainfall. Till Monday, the state had received 25% excess rainfall compared to normal. All five regions of Gujarat have received more than 100% seasonal rains.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there are no chances of heavy rain across the state. On Monday, Ahmedabad recorded a maximum temperature of 33.4 degrees Celsius, which was 0.2 degrees higher than normal. Some parts of the state may receive light showers, mentioned the forecast.
