Progress of Ma Umiya temple reviewed

Gandhinagar: Trustees of Ujha-based Umiya Mata Sansthan, along with office-bearers of Vishwa Umiyadham held a meeting on Sunday evening to review the progress of the proposed Ma Umiya temple, whose construction is underway at Jaspur in Ahmedabad. A joint statement of Umiya Mata Sansthan and Vishwa Umiyadham said that trustees and office-bearers inspected the progress of work on the temple and also discussed various issues of the Patidar community. Quoting R P Patel, the president of Vishwa Umiyadham, the statement said that both Vishwa Umiyadham and Umiya Mata Sansthan will jointly work for upliftment of the Patidar community . Mahendra Patel, the trustee of Umiya Mata Sansthan, said Ma Umiya at Jaspur will be as popular as the Statue of Unity. tnn
