AHMEDABAD: Residents of CTM on Saturday held a special prayer meet at Jay Vijay Hanuman Temple near Bharvi Tower for
India’s victory. Organizers said that citizens participated in a yagna and chants on Saturday evening.
Ankur Joshi, a local resident, said that the Men in Blue are in excellent form and they are sure of victory. “We prayed to the Almighty to be favourable and give us the coveted title,” he said.
Manoj Patel, owner of an eatery in Krishnanagar, has announced free dabelis, a Kutchi delicacy, for everyone if India wins the Champion’s Trophy on Sunday.
“We have done it earlier and luck has been with us. It’s always great if India wins a final, but on Sunday it would be special as it is against
Pakistan,” said Patel. “I am a big fan of cricket and you can see the posters in my shop,” he said. Fireracker shops in the city are also expecting good sales if India wins on Sunday. “There is brisk business in firecrackers and we have already stocked up for India’s win,” said a shopkeeper at Delhi Darwaza.
