AHMEDABAD: The investigation of one case led police to another when they searched the accused Ashish Patel and found beer and IMFL without permit in his bedroom. A case of prohibition has also been registered in the matter.
According to Vastrapur police station officials, on December 23, Chetan Patel, a Vasna resident, had filed a complaint against Ashish Patel, builder and resident of Naranpura, for assaulting him.

Chetan had booked a plot with Ashish and wanted its documents. However, when Ashish asked him to wait for a day, Chetan got enraged and fought with himover the issue. At that time, Ashish's accomplice had stabbed Chetan in abdomen. He had later filed a attempt to murder plaint.
"On Monday, a team led by inspector R Gamit got a tip-off that Ashish, whose anticipatory bail was rejected in the issue, had come to visit his family. On the basis of that, His residence in Radhe Bungalows was raided. When police could not find Ashish, they found several full and empty bottles of beer and IMFL in his bedroom. Officials have collected the goods as evidence against him and booked him for violation of prohibition laws," said a Vastrapur police station official.
