BJP has asked all candidates from Saurashtra, Kutch and South Gujarat to reach Central and North Gujarat constituencies with 100 workers each.

Similarly, the Congress has sent its workers to other constituencies, keeping in mind caste equations. AAP has also sent workers to other constituencies. Voting for the second phase will take place on December 5.

Kishore Makwana, Gujarat BJP spokesman, said, “With only two days left for the second phase of voting, the party has asked candidates to move to these other seats with 100 workers. They will join the party campaign and support local candidates. BJP workers from other states have also come to Gujarat to campaign. A large number of workers are from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. They will join the campaign with local workers.”

The Gujarat Congress has also directed its workers to move to second-phase constituencies.

“We have moved Saurashtra workers to Ahmedabad and North Gujarat and South Gujarat workers have been sent to Central Gujarat. At least 50 workers from each first-phase seat have moved to other constituencies. We have made this process different by selecting workers based on criteria such as caste and local connect. We have allowed workers to select the constituency where they have a good connect with people,” said Manish Doshi, Gujarat Congress spokesman.

AAP, the new entrant, has moved its candidates to the second phase seats.

AAP Gujarat treasurer Kailashdan Gadhvi said, “We have sent workers from Saurashtra and South Gujarat to other seats. Our workers will participate in the last days of campaigning.”
