<div class="section0"><div class="Normal"><span style="" font-size:="">AHMEDABAD: On Friday afternoon, in the presence of Gujarat''s cricket bigwigs and Reliance executives, 19-year-old Parthiv Patel found full-time employment.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="">Parthiv, who became India’s youngest Test wicket-keeper at 17 years in 2002, signed the papers that made him an executive, sports and culture, in Reliance Industries Limited.
“I feel humbled that Reliance has recognised me so early in my cricketing career�, the youngster said, while accepting the assignment.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="">Parimal Nathwani, executive, RIL, described Parthiv as an icon for the youth of the country and added that “the company has been actively associated with cricket right from the Reliance World Cup in 1987�. There was good news from RIL too for the Gujarat Cricket Association whose president, Narhari Amin,was present along with other GCA officebearers.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="">Nathwani revealed that RIL, for the next one year, would sponsor the Gujarat Under-15, Under-17, Under-19 and Ranji Trophy teams to the tune of Rs 15 lakh.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="">Amin, who is also vice-president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, told TNN, “Since we have launched an ambitious plan to train our teams for the coming season, the sponsorship will be of great use to us. Parthiv showed great cricketing talent at a very young age.�</span></div> </div>
