Parents abduct daughter

AHMEDABAD: All love stories do not have a happy ending. In this case, the girl, who had said ‘I do’ in the Gujarat High Court, to be with her differently-abled husband, was abducted by her family from her husband’s home on Sunday afternoon.
On July 26, the HC had in its judgement said that Hetal (21) can live with Sahajsharan Dave (27), who is paralysed below his waist and needs help moving around as she was quite steadfast in her decision to live with him against the wishes of her family.After she went to live with Sahajsharan, Hetal’s father, Ghanshyam Patel filed a habeas corpus petition before the HC accusing him of kidnapping her. Sahajsharan won the case as Hetal explained to the judges, her wish to live with him.
However, their days of marital bliss were short lived as Ghanshyam Patel and his relatives came to Hetal’s house on Sunday and kidnapped her. They also thrashed Sahajsharan and threatened him. Her husband, under treatment at Civil Hospital, has filed a complaint at Sabarmati police station.
