Priya Sharma.
Priya, a resident of Juna Vadaj, in her complaint has accused Sati Sindhi, the money lender, for terrorizing her family and driving her husband to commit suicide. While giving her house on rent, Sati had intimated the couple that she also works as a private financer. Soon after this, Hitesh had taken a loan of Rs 35,000 from Sati at the rate of 4% per month. The loan was meant to fund his sister's marriage. "Hitesh claims he used to pay monthly installments regularly and also had partially paid back the loan amount. A couple of days ago when Hitesh wished to shift out of the house, Sati stopped him from doing so. She told Hitesh that he still owed her Rs 35,000," said a Naranpura police official.
An argument ensued over payment of principal amount and in a fit of anger and frustration, Hitesh consumed pesticide at his house. tnn He has been admitted to the Civil Hospital.
