VVIP Road Extension Planned for Semiconductor Project
The upcoming Sanand semiconductor project has prompted the proposal to extend a key VVIP road in the area. Authorities are working on a draft town planning scheme covering 86 hectares around Sanand GIDC to support the project’s infrastructure and connectivity requirements.
Existing VVIP Road Already Upgraded by Auda
Auda has revamped the VVIP road from SP Ring Road to Sanskardham into a six-lane stretch. This upgrade serves as the backbone for future development in the region, especially with the semiconductor project and major sports infrastructure planned nearby.
Bol Village Selected for Draft TP Scheme Development
Bol village has been chosen for the draft TP scheme, which outlines facilities such as international schools, multi-specialty hospitals, luxury hotels, shopping malls, and parks. The plan aims to develop the area into a modern industrial and lifestyle hub supporting Sanand’s growth.
Eight-Lane Corridor Proposed for Future Expansion
The newly planned road will eventually become an eight-lane corridor. Auda has floated a tender to appoint a consultant who will prepare the detailed project report. This corridor will link Sanskardham in the Manipur-Godhavi zone with Sanand, strengthening long-term transport plans.
Semiconductor Project to Receive State Land Allocation
The state government is allocating land within Sanand GIDC for the semiconductor facility. This initiative aims to support India’s push for domestic semiconductor production and strengthen the nation’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
Auda Begins Industrial Development Preparations
To back the semiconductor project, Auda has started planning industrial development on lands around Sanand city and the GIDC zone. These efforts will ensure the region can accommodate factories, supply chains, and related industries.
Sports Hub Strengthened by Existing VVIP Road

Manipur-Godhavi to Host Major Sports Arena
The Manipur-Godhavi area is set to house the South West Ahmedabad Sports Arena (SWASA). This arena will be developed as part of preparations for major global sporting events, including the Commonwealth Games 2030 and the proposed 2036 Olympics.
