No polls at GCCI for second year straight

AHMEDABAD: For the second consecutive, there will be no

elections

in the

Gujarat

Chamber of Commerce and Industry (

GCCI

). On Monday, it was declared that as the number of contesting candidates is exactly the same as the number of seats, all candidates have been elected uncontested.


Durgesh Buch, the incumbent senior vice president, will now be promoted to president of GCCI, according to the constitution of the GCCI. Natubhai Patel of Meghmani Organics will be appointed senior vice president while Bhargav Thakkar will be the vice president of GCCI.
