A local court on Thursday denied bail to father-son duo - Natu Patel and Dipak Patel - who were arrested for allegedly cheating more than 1,100 pilgrims by offering them a Nepal tour, which got canceled later.

AHMEDABAD: A local court on Thursday denied bail to father-son duo - Natu Patel and Dipak Patel - who were arrested for allegedly cheating more than 1,100 pilgrims by offering them a Nepal tour, which got canceled later.
Ghatlodia police arrested the tour organizers. The duo, who claimed to be running an organization called Lok Vichar Seva Trust, had put an advertisement in local papers informing that it had organized a religious discourse at Janakpuri in Nepal.

They allegedly charged a fee of Rs 8,000 from some of the pilgrims and assured them that a special train was booked to reach the destination. The pilgrims were asked to gather at Sabarmati Railway Station, but the special train never came.
