Nitin Patel undergoes surgery

AHMEDABAD: Deputy chief minister Nitin Patel had prostate surgery at a city-based private hospital. Doctors said, "Patel, 60, was hospitalized on Sunday and was operated upon on Monday. He is likely to be discharged on Wednesday or Thursday." Patel was suffering from an enlarged prostate for the past couple of months. He consulted doctors who advised him to have a prostate surgery. Dr Ketan Shukla, urologist, who performed the surgery, said: "Nitinbhai was operated on Monday, he is recovering well."

Now, Patel will address felicitation function to be held in Surat on September 8 through video conference. BJP president Amit Shah and CM Vijay Rupani will also be felicitated. tnn
