AHMEDABAD: The NCP has directed its two MLAs to vote for BJP’s Balwantsinh Rajput — the former chief whip of the Congress — in the Rajya Sabha poll.
Kutiyana MLA Kandhal Jadeja has said in a video message that he has been issued a whip directing him to vote for Rajput.
“Three to four days ago, we were asked to wait till the party took a call,” Jadeja says. “Late on Monday, we received the message that the party had decided to vote for Rajput and not for Ahmed Patel.”
NCP leader Praful Patel had said on Sunday that the party was yet to decide on its vote.
