BJP's Kantilal Amrutiya wins Morbi seat
Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate, Kantilal Amrutiya, was heading towards a major victory from Morbi assembly election after maintaining a lead of over 25,000 votes against his nearest rival Jayantilal Patel of Congress party.

As per the latest updates by the Election Commission, after 22 rounds of counting, Amrutiya got 1,13,701 votes while 52,121 votes were polled in favour of Congress candidate Jayantilal Patel.
Morbi was in news just ahead of state assembly polls after 135 people lost lives here in a bridge collapse incident on October 30.
BJP was heading towards a record win after registering a lead in over 154 constituencies in the 182-seat Gujarat assembly. Congress was leading in 19 seats and AAP was ahead in 6 seats.
