, from Vatva on Saturday filed a complaint alleging that three men assaulted him over mistaken identity. The accused Bharat Patel and his two sons Pratik and Ritesh Patel attacked him mistaking him as a miscreant. On Friday night,

Pandit

was returning from Ghodasar on his motorcycle.
He ran out of fuel near Dakornath Society. He called up a friend asking him to bring petrol. When Pandit was talking over the phone, Bharat and his two sons came and questioned Pandit about his intentions and asked why he was standing in front of their society.
Pandit explained them about his situation. But they accused him of unnecessarily standing in front of their society and began thrashing him.
The three attacked him with bricks in which he sustained injuries on forehead. Pandit’s friend

arrived on the spot and some locals also came there after which the three accused fled. Pandit was taken to LG Hospital and filed a complaint. Vatva police inspector,
