AHMEDABAD: The alumni of Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad (MICA) visited the institute on Saturday to give guiding lessons to the students.
The institute hosted a grand alumni meet called 'Crossroads' which turned into a learning opportunity for current students with seniors giving them market insights and career guidance.
Agency relationship manager of Google, Abhigyan Shekhar, MICA batch of 1999-2001, told students about the boom in the media industry and the increasing demand for professionals in the field.

He said, "If we are growing, it'll always happen out of our comfort zone. Explore things at every opportunity and don't be afraid."
Group marketing manager of Radio Mirchi, Sangeeta Nair, MICA batch of 1996-98, told students not to abandon the concept of menial jobs. Starting from the bottom of the ladder is very important to understand operational aspects. "Be at the cutting edge of technology," Nair said.
There were 190 alumni present at the event and various activities like plays, fashion shows and singing were organized in the evening.
