Men caught drunk, police seize luxury car in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD: Two men were having a booze party in their luxury car between Vijay crossroads and Helmet crossroads late on Sunday night. Suddenly cops played spoilsport and arrested them under liquor prohibition charge, while also seizing the luxurious car in which they were drinking.

prohibition act laws and Motor Vehicles Act.According to the FIR lodged with Vastrapur police, a patrol first saw a car being driven erratically. Suspecting something fishy, cops chased the car and stopped it to check. When they opened the window glass, they smelt liquor inside the car. After this, the police managed to have two punch witnesses and asked them to smell the mouths of the duo and decided they were drunk, said the FIR. The two persons had slurred speech and were unable to speak their names properly when they were caught, said the FIR. Cops asked them to produce liquor permits if they had any. But they didn’t have liquor permits, so they were booked for consuming liquor illegally, stated the FIR. The cops checked the car and later seized it for further investigation, said the FIR of the case.
