Mayor Gautam Shah went on a cleanliness drive in yet another minority-dominated area — Jamalpur. Shah, along with officials from the area and local corporators went to Jamalpur and started cleaning the locality.
All the four local corporators, along with MLA Bhushan Bhatt, joined the Mayor in the cleaning exercise. The mayor said he and local representatives wanted to create awareness about cleanliness.
He further said that a rally was also taken out in the locality to create awareness. The move is expected to prod the administration into action so that the area is clean. People were asked to maintain hygiene in their locality.
Earlier this week the Mayor had visited Juhapura and had talked to people and listen to their problems. The presence of the Mayor had made the civic body active and AMC staff had removed garbage from Juhapura.
