Maximum temperature in Ahmedabad dips slightly to 42.3°C
Ahmedabad: The temperature on Saturday dipped slightly to 42.3°C from 43.3°C on Friday, 0.4 degrees higher than normal. At 29.2°C, the minimum temperature was 1.3 degrees higher than normal. According to India meteorological department (IMD) forecast, the maximum temperature is likely to be around 42°C on Sunday.
The state forecast indicated no major change in the maximum temperatures during the next seven days. At isolated pockets, the maximum temperatures are very likely to be above 40°C, it added.
At 42.7°C, Rajkot had the highest maximum temperature in the state, followed by 42.4°C in Vallabh Vidyanagar, 42.3°C in Ahmedabad and Surendranagar, and 42°C in Gandhinagar.
Temperatures have been consistently high in the state for the past fortnight, however compared to the heatwave in some parts of the country currently the temperatures have stabilised, said experts.
