AHMEDABAD: Young Manush Shah has been one of the paddlers in the state who has been making steady progress for last couple of years.
The Vadodada lad is not only doing extremely in the his district TT meets but also making a mark at the state level. His progress is marked by his splendid show at the recently concluded Open Baroda Ma Ranking Table Tennis Tournament in which he bagged the title junior boys category easily.
He followed it up with yet another show at the on-going state ranking TT meet in Valsad where he won the junior boys title. Manush also entered the youth boys final but lost to top seed Harsh Sachnandani of Surat in a thriller.
Other paddlers making a mark in the Baroda Open were Ankita Dimri and Bhusha Mehta who won the double titles in various categories of the tournament.
While Ankita won the twin crowns in sub junior girls and junior girls, Bhusha Mehta won twin titles in youth girls and women's categories.
Among cadet girls, Kashish Goswami beat easily Purva Nimabalkar for the title while in cadet boys, Aayush Shah beat Shail Dharpale to win the crown.
