AHMEDABAD: A man Ghanshyam Marathi was stabbed in the stomach by one Garibdas Koshti over monetary dispute. Marathi was rushed to the hospital where he is under treatment at present. Nikol police has registered a case of attempt to murder against the accused.
According to the complaint lodged Marathi’s brother Hasmukh, a resident of Nikol intercepted them near Mangal Pandey hall.
“Koshti entered into an altercation with Marathi over a money dispute and later pulled out a knife and stabbed Marathi in the stomach. Koshti later fled after cries of help from Hasmukh” said a police official.
Police sources Marathi was rushed to a local hospital where he is under treatment at present. Inspector CB Gamit of Nikol police station said they are hunting for the accused and very soon will be able to arrest him.
It is worthy to note that when city police is still clueless about two gruesome murders including that of a senior citizen woman in Navrangpura and Hanif Dadhi, who was shot at point blank range in Jamalpur, this incident of attempt to murder too has got the cops going on their toes.
