Makwana phoned his friend, Vijay Gohil, asking for help. Gohil set off on his motorcycle. They had decided they would push Makwana’s motorcycle to his workplace using Gohil’s motorcycle.
As Gohil began pushing Makwana’s motorcycle, a speeding truck coming from the direction of Bhavnagar hit Gohil and ran over him. Gohil died on the spot. His body was taken to the Dholka community health centre for a postmortem. Makwana then called the police control room. Koth police registered a complaint of causing death by negligent driving against an unknown driver and began an investigation. Makwana said the truck had a West Bengal registration number. tnn
