Man from Mumbai held with 1 Kg of Methamphetamine drugs in Ahmedabad
AHMEDABAD:
This is the second time since last week when Methamphetamine was seized from the city. In September, last year an assistant sub inspector of police Firozekhan Nagori and his two associates were caught from CTM cross roads with the stuff.
DSP BA Chavda of ATS said that their team has specific information that a man who is wearing blue jeans and a jacket- with a moustache and a beard will pass with the drugs from under the Mahapragynaji Railway Over Bridge in Shahibaugh.
"We laid a watch, with DSP Imtiaz Shaikh leading the team and intercepted the man with the description we had got. On checking his bag we found two packets packed with adhesive tapes. On opening the packets we found that drugs" added Chavda.
During primary interrogation it came into light that the drugs were sent from Ajmer by a man named Wasim, who according to the accused, is a Khadim of Ajmer Sharif Dargarh- on January 18, 2021 through an unknown man to Shaikh.
"The man had delivered the stuff to Shaikh near Shalimar Hotel in Mumbai. The man told Shaikh that the stuff was to be delivered to a man who would be waiting for him or would come near a temple located near Musa- Suhag cemetery in Shahibaugh. However the man did not come there. We have the name and address of the man who was to be delivered the stuff but are exploring actions whether to arrest him or not" added a senior ATS official.

, 30, of New Masjid Lane, Jogeshwari in East Mumbai with 1 Kg ofMethamphetamine drugs
worth Rs 1 crore in international Market. The stuff was packed in two packets ofadhesive tapes
