AHMEDABAD: A middle-aged man who had come to the collectorate for some work, collapsed and died outside it in the Subhash Bridge area on Friday afternoon. While a postmortem report will reveal the cause of death, it is believed he died after suffering a heart attack.

(MA) scheme of the state government.

“The family’s financial condition was not very sound and he had gone to get an MA card. He collapsed there due to a heart attack and died,” said his friend Dipak Patel, who lives in the D-Cabin area of Sabarmati. Joshi is survived by his wife and two children, a son and a daughter, Patel said.

An advocate present at the spot said the collectorate should make arrangements for visitors to get some shade and even fans.

“People stand in a queue to get forms and other work. Fans and shade should be provided,” said the advocate, asked not want to be named.
