Lords FA, OFCW, Eastern Sporting Union triumph

Ahmedabad: Lords FA Kochi YMAA and Eastern Sporting Union registered victories on Thursday in the group stage of the Indian Women’s League 2022-23.
In the day’s first match, Eastern Sporting Union edged past Kickstart FC by a solitary goal. Moirangthem Mandakini Devi scored the winner in the 27th minute.
Lords FA Kochi smashed four goals past Celtic Queens FC in the second match of the day.A second-half hat-trick by Philippine Kathleen Camille Rodriguez sealed the deal for the club. Fragrancy Riwan opened the scoring in the 8th minute.
Odisha FC Women (OFCW) thrashed CRPF FC 6-0 in the day’s last match.
Rayna wins bronze at World School Chess:
Gujarat’s Rayna Ajay Patel won the bronze at World School U-7 Girls Chess Championship 2023 in Rhodes, Greece, recently. Rayna scored 7/9 to finish third. Her two losses came against Tsogtgerel Gerelt-Oyu and Reana Kinzyabulatova — the gold and silver winner respectively. Apple Global School wins U-14 basketball tourney
: The U-14 girls basketball team of Apple Global School emerged triumphant in the inter-school basketball tournament held at LML School. In the final played on Wednesday, the Apple Global defeated Delhi Public School (Bopal) 20-14. Shanaya Bapna led the winners with six points while Shreya Shah contributed four points.
