Ahmedabad: Lords FA Kochi YMAA and Eastern Sporting Union registered victories on Thursday in the group stage of the Indian Women’s League 2022-23. In the day’s first match, Eastern Sporting Union edged past Kickstart FC by a solitary goal. Moirangthem Mandakini Devi scored the winner in the 27th minute. Lords FA Kochi smashed four goals past Celtic Queens FC in the second match of the day. A second-half hat-trick by Philippine Kathleen Camille Rodriguez sealed the deal for the club. Fragrancy Riwan opened the scoring in the 8th minute. In the final played on Wednesday, the Apple Global defeated Delhi Public School (Bopal) 20-14. Shanaya Bapna led the winners with six points while Shreya Shah contributed four points.
