Jodhpur records 26mm rainfall, highest in city

Ahmedabad: The city experienced intermittent light rain throughout Thursday, recording an average rainfall of 14.88mm between 6am and 7pm. Various areas received between half an inch to one inch of rain. Jodhpur recorded the highest rainfall of 26.50mm during the day. Chakudiya recorded 13mm, Odhav 10mm, Viratnagar 10.50 mm, Ramol 20 mm, Paldi 16 mm, Usmanpura 20 mm, Chandkheda 14 mm, Vasna 14mm and Ranip 24mm.
The Bodakdev area recorded 16mm, Science City 17mm, Gota 17.50mm, Chandlodia 13mm, Sarkhej 14mm, Bopal 20mm, Maktampura 17mm, Danapith 10mm, Dudheshwar 20.50mm, Naroda 17.50mm, Maninagar 15.50mm and Vatva 11mm.
On Thursday, 13 gates of the Vasna Barrage were opened up to three feet, releasing 13,442 cusecs of water, while the barrage received inflows of 10,172 cusecs from the Narmada canal and 1,315 cusecs from the Sardar Sarovar Dam. Water level in the Barrage was recorded at 128 feet on Thursday.
