Jodhpur-Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) Vande Bharat Express: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off a new Vande Bharat Express between Jodhpur and Ahmedabad on July 7. Vande Bharat Express is an all air-conditioned chair car service capable of attaining a maximum speed of 160 kmph, making it a semi-high speed train. However, on most Indian Railways’ routes it runs at a maximum permissible speed of 130 kmph.

As on date there are 23 Vande Bharat Express train routes with 46 train services. On July 7, PM Modi will also flag off another Vande Bharat Express train which will be between Gorakhpur and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. This will take the total Vande Bharat Express train routes to 25 and services to 50.

Jodhpur-Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) - Jodhpur Vande Bharat Express Schedule & Route:


Train number 12461 Jodhpur-Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) Vande Bharat Express will depart from Jodhpur at 5:55 AM to reach Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) at 12:05 PM taking 6 hours and 5 minutes.

The train will halt at Pali Marwar at 6:45 AM, Falna at 7:50 AM, Abu Road at 9:05 AM, Palanpur at 10:04 AM, Mahesana station at 10:49 AM enroute stopping at each station for 2 minutes expect Abu Road where the halt time will be 5 minutes.


According to North West Railway zone CPRO Captain Shashi Kiran, the new Vande Bharat Express will be the fastest train on the route taking an hour less than the next fastest train between Jodhpur and Sabarmati. The 8 coach train will run on all days of the week except Tuesday.

On the return journey, Train number 12462 Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) - Jodhpur Vande Bharat Express will depart from Sabarmati at 4:45 PM to reach Jodhpur at 10:55 PM taking 6 hours and 10 minutes.

En route, it will stop at Mahesana at 5:33 PM, Palanpur at 6:38 PM, Abu Road at 7:13 PM, Falna at 8:21 PM and Pali Marwar at 9:40 PM for 2 minutes at each station, except Abu Road where it will stop for 5 minutes.
