AHMEDABAD: It was thieves' night out on Friday when Satellite police reported two incidents of break-ins from Anandnagar and Shreyas Crossing. In the first incident, Vishal Shah, a resident of Anandnagar, was out when his house was broken into and cash and jewellery worth Rs 73,000 stolen. In the second incident, diamond and gold jewellery were stolen from the house of Bhupesh Shah, a resident of Vikram Apartments.
"I had shifted my house from Maninagar to Adesh Apartment in Satellite a fortnight ago. As I had to go to Surendranagar to visit my brother's family, I informed the watchman and nearby residents about my absence. But to my shock, when I returned late on Friday, I saw the front door ajar and my bedroom almirah ransacked. Thieves minutely observed everything before opening the boxes,"said Vishal Shah, the victim. Thieves stole Rs 7,000 cash and gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 66,000. In another incident, a bank official Bhupesh Shah's house was targeted by thieves. A resident of Vikram Apartments in Vejalpur, Shah reported theft of diamond and gold jewellery worth Rs 65,000 from his house.
