AHMEDABAD: Students of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) have music for the ears of die-hard Led Zeppelin fans. The institute's annual festival 'Chaos' is planning to take rock fans 30 years down memory lane with some of the most popular numbers of Led Zeppelin -- the English rock band that disbanded after the death of the band's drummer John Bonham in 1980.
A replica-band of Led Zeppelin from South California called Led Zepplica will fly in to the city to perform at IIM-A's Chaos-2011.
The grand rock concert is scheduled to be held on the night of January 22.
Student of IIM-A and secretary of Chaos-2011 Pranshu Gupta said, "On the occasion of the institute's golden jubilee year, the students of IIMA have decided to make their annual festival 'Chaos' special this year and will offer a near real experience of Led Zeppelin to the visitors of the festival."
As the fans on campus are eager to catch this gig by a band which is dedicated to Led Zeppelin and have performed in places like Mangalore, West Bengal and Chennai, Led Zepplica is also said to been equally looking forward to their scheduled performance. Gupta said, "we have been coordinating with the band since October 2010 and they have not only been very nice and co-operative but have also appreciated the plan of a gig at IIM-A as they already know the institute very well, and its recognition across the country and abroad."
This year, Chaos-2011 will begin on January 20 and end on January 23.
