Jadeja’s advocate Harsh Surti approached the high court on Monday evening and Justice A G Uraizee gave him an urgent hearing at his residence. This happened a day after Kandhal was booked in Ranavav for damaging the petrol pump run by Vishal Samat Gogan, a former president of Ranavav municipality.

The HC granted the relief to Jadeja and stayed police from arresting him after his advocate submitted that Jadeja was recently elected from Kutiyana constituency and was required to visit the state assembly in Gandhinagar. He was apprehending an arrest while on his way to the state assembly.

Meanwhile, a court in Porbandar district granted regular bail to Jadeja in connection with an FIR registered against him for creating ruckus at a police station. Jadeja reportedly was released on interim bail for attending the assembly, but was allegedly involved in another incident at the petrol pump in Ranavav.

On Sunday, the incident was captured on CCTV and Jadeja and nine others were booked under various sections of IPC including rioting 143, 147, 149, 504, 506(2), 447, 427 and 323.

On Tuesday, Kandhal filed two more petitions in the high court for quashing of both the FIRs registered against him last week. The HC is likely to hear both the quashing petitions on Wednesday.
