HC stays investigation against Dr Viral Shah

AHMEDABAD: Radiologist Dr Viral Shah was freed here on Thursday following a Gujarat High Court order which stayed investigations against him.
Justice A M Kapadiya admitted the matter and granted an ad interim stay till July 30, when the next hearing will take place.
On behalf of the petitioner, advocate Bhargav Bhatt appeared and submitted that the cases against Shah were civil litigation in nature but were unnecessarily dealt as criminal litigation, which amounts to abuse of the process.
