Hardik's family, relatives detained at home

Ahmedabad rural police said five people were kept in detention at their respective residences ahead of the CM's event on Thursday.

Those detained included Hardik Patel's father Bharat, his mother and sister along with Ghanshyam Patel and Jayendra. Viramgam police said this was preventive detention and police bandobast was removed once the CM's event was over. Sources said the police were on watch on Wednesday night and on Thursday morning to identify known PAAS agitators.
