Hard-fought victories for Malav, Kamal

Ahmedabad: Former junior state champion Malav Parikh was in his elements as he defeated Rajesh Dodiya by two frames to one in their match at senior billiards catagory of Gujarat State Billiards Association's Ahmedabad Qualifying Rounds. In another match, Kamal Patel upset Jignesh Shah by two frames to one in a closely-fought match.
RESULTS: Meherzad Bhagvagar beat Neel vasoya 2-0; Manan Atit beat Prashant Soni 2-1; Dhruv Patel beat Kushal Shah 2-0; Harshil Shah beat Akil Rajani 2-0; Abhi Patel beat Jeet Bhojani 2-1; Kamal Patel beat Jignesh Shah 2-1; Gunjan Patel beat Harjit Gulbani 2-1; Malav Parikh beat Rajesh Dodiya 2-1.
Mount Carmel teams win basketball titles:
Mount Carmel basketball teams won the titles in U-15 and U-20 categories in the Maxa Cup 3-on-3 Sports Utsav Basketball tournament in Ahmedabad. In all, 86 teams took part in the tournament. In the U-15 category, Mount Carmel 'B' defeated Mount Carmel' A' 7-0, while in U-20 category, Mount Carmel beat Apple Global School by the same score.
