GANDHINAGAR: The state cabinet, which met on Wednesday, took a decision to integrate and synchronize all government resolutions (GRs) and notifications on the same subject to ensure that core governance is streamlined and made more effective.

Government spokesperson Rushikesh Patel told the media after the cabinet meeting that all GRs issued on the same subject over a period of time will be integrated. All the departments have been asked to issue integrated notifications of such GRs by March 31 this year.

Regarding other decisions taken at the cabinet meeting, the minister said that work orders have been issued to construct 21,000 new classrooms for government schools of the state.

He added that as many as 9,523 injured birds were treated across the state as part of the state government's Karuna Abhiyan programme. He added that NGOs and volunteers who participated in the programme will be felicitated by the state government.

The minister said that this year's edition of the Sujalam Sufalam water conservation programme will begin on February 1. He said that a total of 17,812 water conservation works were completed last year.
