Gold jewellery worth Rs 4.5 lakh stolen

In three different incidents gold jewellery mobile and laptops worth Rs 4.50 lakhs were stolen from the city in a day.

AHMEDABAD: In three different incidents gold jewellery mobile and laptops worth Rs 4.50 lakhs were stolen from the city in a day.
In the first incident, gold jewellery worth Rs 3.80 lakh was reported stolen during an auto ride. According to complainant Komal Gadhvi, a resident of Jamnagar, somebody stole a box containing 190 grams of gold jewellery.

The theft took place when she had taken a sharing auto from Geeta Mandir to reach Jashodanagar. Gadhvi has filed a complaint for theft with Vatva GIDC police.
In another incident, cash and mobile phones worth Rs 64,000 were reported stolen from a residence in Chandkheda. According to complainant Anjana Jha, a resident of Maninagar, somebody entered her father's residence in Jantanagar between 7.45 pm and 9.45 pm. The thief stole a purse containing Rs 55,000 in cash and two mobile phones worth Rs 9,000. Jha has filed a complaint with Chandkheda police for theft.
A laptop and four mobile phones were reported stolen from a residence in Motera. According to complainant Ronak Bhavsar, somebody entered his residence between 4 am and 7.30 am and stole a laptop worth Rs 15,000 and four mobile phones worth Rs 20,000. Bhavsar has filed a complaint with Chandkheda police.
