Ahmedabad: Four nabbed for killing 32-year-old man

Santej police on Sunday nabbed four men for beating a 32-year-old man to death at the behest of their 22-year-old friend who suspected that the deceased had an affair with his mother.

AHMEDABAD: Santej police on Sunday nabbed four men for beating a 32-year-old man to death at the behest of their 22-year-old friend who suspected that the deceased had an affair with his mother.
According to an FIR registered with Santej police of Gandhinagar, the deceased was identified as Lalaji Thakor from Pilvai village in Vijapur taluka of Mehsana district. The friend is identified as Savan Patel, who hails from Rakanpur village of Kalol taluka in Gandhinagar district.
Inspector Yuvrajsinh Vaghela of Santej police said that four men were identified as Ashwin Barot, 38; Hardik Thakkar, 30; Montu Rajbhar, 21 and Chetan Parmar, 20. Patel, the main accused, and his friend Vipul Thakor, 25, are yet to be nabbed.
Thakor, the deceased, was working in a chikki manufacturing firm in Kalol and the accused and his mother were also working there.
Patel had taken Thakor on his scooter to their company in Rakanpur village. After a while, Thakor's sister called up one of his friends and told him that Thakor called him and he was screaming for help as someone was beating him. Listening to this, Thakor's friend rushed to the company first but did not find him nor Patel.
After a while, some stranger called Thakor's friend and said that Thakor was beaten badly and was bleeding heavily near a farmhouse in Rakanpur village. When Thakor's friend reached there, he was found in a pool of blood.
