AHMEDABAD: A 54-year-old man from the Chandkheda area of the city on Tuesday filed an
The complainant, Shailesh Pandya, a land broker, in his FIR at Chandkheda police station said that he had installed three CCTV cameras at his house after his father, Dashrathlal Pandya, had in 2015 filed various complaints of criminal intimidation against him with police which later turned as mere allegations. “I had installed those cameras so that any frivolous charges against me by my father would not stand and footage could be produced as evidence in legal cases,” said Pandya.
Pandya said that his two sisters, Neeta Raval and Mudra Dave, and his cousin Jigar Pandya, along with Dashrathlal, used to harass him and pick fights with him over frivolous issues. The complainant claimed that his family had an issue with him over the construction of his house on the second floor of his father’s house in Chandkheda. His sisters and their husbands had also threatened him in 2017, after which he had filed a police complaint.

He also saw his sisters and cousin trespassing inside his house. When he reached home, he did not find the cameras there. Pandya also alleged, “My father had once threatened to kill me while brandishing a broom.”
Chandkheda police filed a complaint of theft, trespassing, criminal intimidation along with abetment charges against the four family members.
