Emcure Pharmaceuticals inaugurates R&D centre in A’bad

Ahmedabad: Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited announced the inauguration of the company's formulation research and development (R&D) Centre in Ahmedabad on Thursday. The research centre is strategically designed to enable breakthroughs in complex drug delivery systems, such as sustained-release formulations, liposomal injections and advanced dermal therapies. The facility was inaugurated by health minister Rushikesh Patel."We aim to accelerate pharmaceutical research in areas such as gynaecology, cardiology, oncology, nephrology, pain management and vitamins. A team of some 350 professionals will be deployed at the centre," said Satish Mehta, founder and CEO, Emcure Pharmaceuticals.Emcure operates pharma manufacturing facilities in Sanand, Mehsana and Surendranagar in Gujarat to manufacture solid dosage forms and injectables, among others."Gujarat has remained a hub for innovation and progress, and this facility is an example of how we can create futuristic healthcare solutions. We will invest in drug research and nurture local talent," said Patel.
