Baldev Babaria

, from Bhavnagar district's

Sihor

town, had acute pain in his teeth. He left his home and came to Ahmedabad's civic hospital for effective treatment at low cost. However, the negligence and downright apathy of the doctor at the hospital cost Baldev seven of his teeth and approximately Rs 50,000.

Dr

Sonal Anchlia

operated on Baldev four times and removed seven of his teeth. She then removed a bone from his mouth and replaced it with a rib bone. As a result, Baldev's fce became shapeless. Moreover, there was no relief from the pain.

After leaving Baldev in a limbo, she suddenly disappeared for a month after taking a leave from hospital. Baldev, however, was not informed about her absence.

Baldev

earns a meagre wage of Rs 4,000 a month and he has ended up spending Rs 50,000 on his treatment so far with no respite to his pain. He had to resort to selling his wife's earrings to fund his treatment. Meanwhile, the doctor showed complete apathy to his condition and even reprimanded him when he asked her to do something about his condition. Baldev has claimed that Dr

Sonal

was talking on the phone for a long time while performing surgery on him.

Baldev is now contemplating about approaching the Human Rights Commission for justice.
