Ashok Brahmbhatt, Anil Patel and Bharat Zaveri were elected as secretary, joint-secretary and treasurer of the association respectively. All the office-bearers were elected uncontested.

In a statement, Dhanraj Nathwani said, “I am thankful to all at the GCA for reposing confidence in me and I accept the responsibility entrusted on me as the vice-president.”

“My first priority will be to complete the world's largest cricket stadium at Motera, Ahmedabad, and make it the most sought-after cricketing venue in the world.”

Newly elected joint secretary, Anil Patel, said: It is indeed an honour to be promoted as the joint secretary of the GCA after looking at my work as the secretary of the Central Board of Cricket Ahmedabad (CBCA) since 2009. I will try to give my best with GCA also in the future.’’

Ashok Brahmbhatt, too, was ecstatic over becoming the new secretary. “I have been associated with CBCA since the last 25 years and hope to give my best here too,” said Brahmbhatt.
