AHMEDABAD: A 24-year old man was nabbed from Isanpur by city cops after a request from
Delhi police on Saturday night. Mohammed Aslam Husain, a native of Sitamadhi in Bihar and resident of Delhi, was wanted in an acid attack case where he had hurled acid on his former wife and two children.
"He had divorced his first wife Salma and married her younger sister Afsana.
A month back, she went missing mysteriously and he suspected that it was Salma's doing. Thus, on June 24, he went to her residence in Wazirpur and after a verbal duel hurled acid at her and two children, one of which died soon after," said a police official.
AK Marwada, inspector of Isanpur police station, said that Husain was running an embroidery business in Ahmedabad for some time. He was handed over to Delhi police officials on Monday.
