Dalits to boycott Sangh Sammelan

Ahmedabad: The Una Dalit Atyachar Ladat Samiti (UDALS), the forum formed to give justice to the flogging victims, has said that they will boycott the RSS Sammelan on August 3 in Una town of Gir- Somnath district.
In a bid to pacify the anger of dalits after the Una flogging incident where four men of the community were brutalized for skinning a dead cow, the RSS is going to organize first of its kind 'Samajik Sadbhav Sammelan' (gathering for social harmony) at Una in which religious leaders from across the state will participate.
Nitin Gurjar, member of the UDALS, alleged that the entire atrocity had been orchestrated by the saffron outfits. "They are now shedding crocodile tears and showing sympathy. We don't need their consolation," he said.
