Cooler stolen from cabin

Ahmedabad: An air cooler installed at a security cabin at the principal accountant general's office in Ahmedabad has been stolen, and a complaint in this regard was registered with Gujarat University police on Monday.In his complaint, senior audit officer Lalit Kumar stated that the air cooler, allotted by the govt in 2025 and valued at about Rs 12,000, was installed in the cabin at Audit Bhavan's exit gate. "On the morning of March 30, security guard Yusuf Pathan informed me that the cooler kept in the security cabin at the ‘out' gate had been stolen."Kumar stated that he checked CCTV footage which showed that "the door of the security guard's cabin was found open". He added that the cooler appeared to have been stolen by "an unknown person who illegally entered the office campus and took it away". Kumar said he informed his superior officer and, after receiving authorization, approached the police station to lodge a formal complaint. tnn
