AHMEDABAD: Adani Total Gas Limited (
ATGL
) on Monday again increased its prices of compressed natural gas (CNG) in Ahmedabad by Rs 1.5 to Rs 62.99 per kilogram from Rs 61.49. Another city gas distribution (CGD) company,
Gujarat Gas Limited
(GGL), raised its
CNG prices
across the state last Saturday.
CNG prices have gone up several times, after the central government increased the price of domestically produced gas by 62% from October.
Since August, ATGL has raised its
CNG prices in Ahmedabad by Rs 7.69 per kg or 14% over five increases. The company’s CNG price at the beginning of August was Rs 55.30 per kg. Now, its price is Rs 62.99 per kg (including taxes).
The
Adani Group company revised CNG prices at regular intervals and has increased CNG price in Ahmedabad by Rs 10.63 per kg since January, when its price was Rs 52.36 per kg. The rate was revised effective from January 25.
State-run

Gas Limited also increased its CNG price by Rs 8.33 per kg or by 16% since August. After keeping its price unchanged for more than one and a half years, the company made its first revision of 2021 on August 24, when it raised CNG prices by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 54.45 per kg.
