City’s minimum temp rises to 16.6°C
Ahmedabad: The minimum temperature in the city on Tuesday was 16.6 degrees celsius, which was 3.8 degrees above normal. The maximum temperature was also 2.9 degrees above normal at 31.6 degrees celsius. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the city may experience a minimum temperature of around 17 degree celsius on Wednesday. The forecast mentioned, "No large change in minimum temperatures during the next five days is very likely over the region."
Across Gujarat, the maximum temperatures remained above 32 degrees celsius, whereas minimum temperatures remained above 14 degrees celsius.
"Except during the early morning and late night, the winter chill is nearly gone. It did feel like winter for a few days in Dec and Jan but the cold was still bearable," said Jaymin Patel, a resident of Satellite. "I continued my morning routine of jogging and exercise, which is possible outdoors during winter in a city like Ahmedabad."
