But fret not, as our very own celebs who have tried and tested a lot of permutation-combination on how to stick to your resolutions offer their simple tips.
So, pick few lessons from them which will help you to stick and stay true to your resolutions.
Malhar Thakar: The Duniyadaari actor believes in the age-ol saying, ‘keep trying until you succeed.’ “There will be times when you fail even after several attempts. But that’s when you have to find a new way or invent a new method. In this manner it will not only help you to get going, but you might end up finding a new passion and a new goal which can lead to your attain your results much faster.”
Bhakti Kubavat: For Bhakti, a to-do list and constant reminders on her phone is her sure tested way which has helped her in sticking all her resolutions. “My everyday to-do list has always helped me as it helps me to analyse where I have reached and how far do I have to. Also one can keep reminders on their phone, calendar and other digital devices that will certainly help you to stay on track.”
Jinal Belani: In an age where we are all always glued to our smartphones and spend all our energies on the same, it is time to make the best use of it, shares Jinal. “My goals for years have been to lose weight and stay fit, and for that I keep interesting wallpapers on my phone. Everytime I’m glued to my phone it reminds me of how I must get back and plan better to achieve my goals.”
Mikhil Musale: While we all do agree that when it comes to resolutions, we do fail a couple of times, Mikhil believes that determination and self-belief are two major factors which can help you to reach the finish line. “Make resolutions only if you are sure of sticking through it, no matter what. Also one has to be determined that you will go through every up and down and still finish every task, and this can be achieved by believing in yourself and your decisions."
Monal Gajjar: For Monal, she believes that staying true to your resolutions is all about mind game. “Never bow down to your mind games and just keep going. Be self-confident and stick to your resolutions even though you fail a couple of times. And most importantly set attainable goals.”
Pratik Gandhi: While the Wrong Side Raju star thinks this to be a little clichéd, he believes that practicing it regularly can make you stay true to your resolutions. “I have always been able to achieve my goals, with this one mantra. If you practice any new routine without a break for 21-25 days, it automatically becomes a daily habit. Also one can bring in a little innovation in it so that you don't feel the boredom.”
Amit Barot: For Shubh Aarambh director, the only way that one can get through their resolutions is by prioritizing their schedules and commitments. “It is very essential to prioritize your schedules and daily appointments and commitments so that you take out enough time to work on your resolutions.”
